Mechanical Fitter/Coach Builder

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our expanding company assisting with the coach building of camper vans and fitting of campervan accessories, such as diesel heaters, windows, roof vents, seats, beds, furniture etc.
Daily duties will include:
Operating vehicle lifts, jacks and lifting equipment, to safely raise vehicles to working heights.
Emptying and lowering fuel tanks, to plumb in fuel lines.
Fitting diesel heaters and plumbing in air ducts
Modifying and adapting campervan furniture
Bodywork modifications, such as fitting windows, roof vents and sleeping pods.
Ensuring customer vehicles are returned in a clean, safe and undamaged condition
Removal and refitting of vehicle coverings

Keeping working areas clean and organized
Other mechanical duties, such as repairs and maintenance
Opportunities to learn other skills including welding and fabrication will be offered and as such our team is built on an ethos of helping one another out, regardless of role, or position. Workshop duties will be required when there are no vehicles booked in.

3 GCSEs at grade C or above, in at least one of the following subjects: Design technology (or similar equivalent), Mathematics, Physics.

Fluent English is a must for this role, due to the communicative nature of your ongoing training.
4 years experience in a similar role, such as mechanical fitting, coach building, or motor mechanics
Relevant qualifications, such as time served apprenticeships, NVQs etc.
We are looking for self motivated, team players who are willing to work for the betterment of their peers as a whole.

Own transport to our workshop in Peterborough will be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
